Although it was a helpful entry into the world of retail, I would absolutely never work at Spirit Halloween again. There were some perks to the abysmal corprate management, like being able to sit at the register, but also the bathrooms didn't have soap for the better part of a week. At the start, I loved having everything be so themed to my favorite time of year (which you can tell in the comic I made), but the longer I stayed, the more I grew to hate that Christmas consumerism was coming for Halloween too. It's nothing new, but being forced to walk laps around the same landfill stuffing for 8 hours a day, until you're limping, really opens your eyes to the size of the problem.

The job would've been a big mistake if I didn't also get to skate around the mall parking lot after my shifts, but because of that, I'm actually really glad I took it.
